Shrimp Cakes Recipe

I absolutely love seafood, so anyway I can have some, would be best. I got tired of frying fish for breakfast and wanted something a bit more fancy, so I made shrimp cakes. This is such an easy recipe because I literally always have this stuff in my fridge.

Here’s how you make the Shrimp Cakes:

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Cost to Make: $12-$15

Serving: Makes 12 cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large raw shrimp peeled and deveined

  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese (1 1/2 cups shredded)

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/4 cup mayo

  • 2 Tbsp parsley finely chopped, plus more to garnish (most times, I don’t add this because I don’t have it on hand)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil of choice or you can use light olive oil

Cooking Instructions:

Mix of the ingredients above, except for the cooking oil. Put the cooking oil in a pan on high heat. Once the oil is hot, cook the shrimp cakes on both sides until golden brown.
